Laurent Carrer, auhor of Ambroise-Auguste Liebeault: The Hypnological Legacy of a Secular Saint

Laurent Carrer is a French native who has lived in the U.S. since 1978. He holds a Master's of Science from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology and is a professional translator certified by the American Translators Association.

Laurent wants to make more historical resources available to English speakers and translated some important works of French pioneers, making them pertinent to our times by providing relevant commentary and biographical/historical background. He is the author of two books: Ambroise-Auguste Liébeault: The Hypnological Legacy of a Secular Saint, which features a translation of Liebeault's main opus, Le sommeil provoqué et les états analogues and Jose Custodio de Faria: Hypnotist, Priest and Revolutionary, which features a translation into English of Abbe Faria's De la cause du sommeil lucide.
